Insurance Pass mobile app. Last updated: October 2026
These terms govern your use of the Insurance Pass mobile app (the "App"), operated by Oddly Sunny LLC (New Jersey, USA). By using the App you agree to them.
What Insurance Pass is
The App is a study aid for state insurance license examinations. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for your state's official candidate handbook, statutes, regulations, or a licensed instructor, and using it does not guarantee that you will pass any exam. Exam formats, fees, and requirements differ by state and change over time. You are responsible for verifying them against your state insurance department and your testing provider before you test.
Not affiliated with regulators or test providers
Insurance Pass is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state insurance department, the NAIC, or any exam administration provider. References to statutes, rules, and official documents are for study purposes only.
Subscriptions and billing
Insurance Pass Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly, or every three months). Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in the App. Prices are shown in the App before you buy.
A limited amount of content is available free. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
Pass Guarantee
If you meet every condition below and do not pass your state licensing exam, we will add three months (one quarter) of Pro to your account at no charge.
What qualifies you
- You have an active paid Pro subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play.
- For the license line you are taking, your Readiness Score in the App is 80 or higher and you score 80% or higher on a full-length practice exam in the App. While you are subscribed the App records both against your account, with dates, and we use that record.
- You take the official exam within 30 days after the date both were last true.
How to claim
- Email hello@insurance-pass.com within 30 days after your exam date.
- Include your Support ID (Settings, Pass Guarantee in the App).
- Attach proof that you did not pass: the official score report or failure notice from the testing provider, showing your name, the exam, and the exam date.
What you get, and the limits
- One claim per exam attempt. A retake is a new attempt and can qualify again, if you meet the conditions again.
- The extension is applied by us as a promotional Pro entitlement of three months. It does not depend on whether your paid subscription is still active, and it does not change or refund your payments.
- It covers access to the App only. It is not a refund, and does not cover exam fees, pre-licensing education, travel, or other costs. Refunds for App Store or Google Play payments are handled by Apple or Google.
- We review each claim in good faith, may ask for more information, and may decline claims that rely on misstated results or access obtained in breach of these terms.
Practice questions are original study material and are not real exam questions. Readiness and practice scores estimate preparation, they do not predict a result.
Acceptable use
Use the App for your own exam preparation. Do not copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute its questions or explanations, and do not attempt to interfere with or reverse engineer the App.
Content and intellectual property
The App's questions, explanations, design, and software are owned by or licensed to Oddly Sunny LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. Statutory and regulatory text remains the property of its respective source and is cited for study.
No warranty
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work to keep the content accurate and current, we do not warrant that it is error-free or complete, or that it reflects the most recent change to every statute or rule.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oddly Sunny LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including a failed exam. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
